Making the right decisions, using the correct approach
Ascension Support helps each individual to identify their aims and aspirations. The people we support have learning disabilities, autism and complex needs as well as behaviours others might find challenging. We believe all people have the potential to find their own solutions given the right support, therefore we work closely with families, other health and social professionals, GPs and therapists to ensure that every person we support maintains physical health, mental health and wellbeing, as they work towards their own wishes of independence. A plan is put together to help each individual reach their goals. These can be anything from building confidence, getting a job, maintaining independence or better management of certain behaviours.
Residents in our supported housing have their own tenancy agreements, while receiving support to build the confidence and skills needed to live independently. This means they receive support every week (depending on need) to maintain their tenancy, manage their living space, antisocial behaviour, budgeting and managing rent and bills.
LIFESTYLE AND ACTIVITIES
Our team understand the importance of staying active and interacting in positive social activities. We therefore invite, encourage and assist our residents to be a part of any activities or trips out we plan. From the arts to fitness and wellbeing, we aim to keep both mind and body active. We have shaped relationships with the local community so that our residents have access to positive experiences.

Working In Partnership
We appreciate the huge pressures commissioners face and as social care professionals ourselves we understand the importance of working in line with proposed local and government agendas. We work in partnership with commissioning groups, local authorities and continuing healthcare teams to identify local needs and develop quality, tailored solutions. We understand that requirements differ from place to place and within different stakeholders, so we’ll work with you to understand your local needs. That means we are open to evolving and enhancing our services to meet local gaps in the market or specific commissioning needs. Our passion to develop long-term relationships with you mean we can develop meaningful relationships that better serve those who are vulnerable as well as enabling you to become familiar with our service and team.
When you contact us to discuss a referral, we can provide options which support you in a timely and cost effective manner.
